Our Story
Green Islam began its journey in 2022 when a diverse group of Muslims from around the world connected through social media due to their shared passion for environmentalism and ethical living.
We operate in various regions across the globe, including Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe, and conduct a wide variety of activities including plant-based iftar events, academic research, as well as advocacy.

Green Islam strives to highlight the incompatibility between modern consumption and lifestyle practices with Islamic teachings, in turn seeking to inspire Muslims to re-engage and act in accordance with the ethical spirit of Islam.
